Deanna Staley

I totally hear you on the closets!! Our home was built mid-50's and the people must have had two shirts, two pants and a robe!! We DO have two closets in our bedroom, one is deeper than it is wide. It's only a "door" wide--but probably 2 doors deep! Years ago dh built shelves in the back of the closet--which is helpful. and it holds the vacuum cleaner and steamer--very close fit! No clothes, except for his robe folded and put on one of the shelves, and mine on the same shelf!! The other closet has two hanging rods--but only two on 1/2 the closet--the upper part of that close is shelves for our sweaters and hats. Earl gets the top rod that only covers 1/2 the closet, and I get the full bottom rod--that isn't nearly long enough!! Since it's so close to the floor, we have NO long hanging space at all, so I got rid of all my dresses and the skirt hanger IS on the rod in the vacuum closet. I forgot about that! If we hang anything in that closet, you can't get to the shelves, and it's hard to get the vacuum put away!! The other two closets in the bedrooms are actually bigger than our big closet in our room, but in the train room, the closet holds trains, and in the scrapbook room, the closet holds scrapbook stuff!! ugh!!
