and already it's dog day hot. Most days it gets uncomfortable when the sun moves into position in the western sky. It should only be directly overhead about now, but I just turned the thermostat down a degree in hopes of a bit more cooling. The kitchen is disgusting. When I made the tea, I also started the dishwasher because it was full and needed to be run. Of course, it vents steam into the kitchen, just a bit, but that's enough. It's darned uncomfortable out there. Wish I'd started all that stuff the moment I got up.
I've also got the washer going. I decided I had enough "darks" to warrant a small load. Right now we're doing "lights n whites". I'm trying not to think about my water meter with both the dishwasher and the washer sucking up water. Yes, they are those low water models, but still.......
I stuck my nose outside for just a few minutes this morning. I am seeing tufts of green splattered around the back yard and some areas that actually have patches of grass. Perhaps, before the end of the worst days of summer, I'll actually have grass. It would sure help the dust problem......
Well, that's it for now. The family kit has about 14 elements, but that just leaves me with a LONG way to go. Later.........
