would you say thanks? There have been approximately 2300 people here on this blog to collect the free mini kit. Ten have left comments. (That doesn't count the comment I got offering me porno pictures--I'm calling that one spam.)
I'm almost on overload with this church convention I've been tuned in to all week. Or, I just don't like the worship music. I'm not sure which. The worship team is billed as "the greatest". Must be me???? Anyway they can stop this noise any time they want to and get on with the speakers. Won't hurt my feelings any. I'm sure it's just a matter of taste. I don't mean to criticize them.
During what was supposed to be the dinnertime break, I did something I've been wanting to do for days. I upgraded my 3 minute shower to a long hot soaky bath. Is there anything so restorative as a long hot soaky bath? I don't think so unless it's a massage. However, a massage costs a lot more than a tubful of water so I made do, LOL. Anyway, I'm polished/loofahed/soaked/scrubbed/shaved/shampooed from head to toe and a whole lot more relaxed than I was a while ago.
I mentioned the other day that I may be building mobile phone apps here real soon. The guy who is recruiting me for that keeps sending me video after video after video. I think I must have at least 10 of them now. Some are 10 minutes long, some are an hour and 20 minutes long. Anyway, I have finally just set up a file folder in my e-mail and moved them all there. I'm not sure what the purpose is of inundating me with these things. I've already told him I learn by doing. Now, it may be highly informative for someone who learns differently, but it just sails over my head. It is basically meaningless to me at the moment. It doesn't connect to anything in my life. It's a very long, detailed, step-by-step process and I am NOT going to remember. My mind just doesn't work that way. So, for the moment, I am just happy to have moved 10 files out of my current e-mails.
I mentioned to you that I bought 3 of those Genie bras they advertise on TV. I got a great deal on them on e-bay. The day after they arrived I wore one of them. It may be that I'll never buy another kind of bra. These things are very comfortable. I think they flatten things a bit but that's no problem for me. I don't mind that at all. Anyway, I recommend them, in case you're on the market for an easy to wear bra.
I worked on the kit that needed a taxi today. I am now ready to do previews! Yay! I still need alphas, but the kit is done. I finally had to stop as I really couldn't squeeze anything more into the preview, LOL. So that means that in 3 days this week, I've pulled 3 kits off the back burner and pretty much finished them. Loving that! All three have summery color palettes or summery themes so it's good to have them finished! And, besides, I am inching ever closer to that water-themed kit I'm wanting to work on, LOL.
I haven't done much around here today. By 10 AM, my blood pressure was 100/67. I had a throbbing headache. 2.5 hours later my blood pressure was 138/85 and I had a different throbbing headache. I know this mess is a side effect of the thyroid meds I take, but it's getting old. I did make a milk run late this afternoon.
I think I am returning the tea kettle I bought. I am not happy with it. It has one of those black handles that's not supposed to get hot. Wrong! The first two times I used it, I was boiling tea bags for iced tea. I was not anxious to pour boiling water into the pitcher so the kettle was cool before I messed with it. Today I decided to make some coffee in the French press. Obviously, I wanted to pour boiling water over the coffee grounds. Was I ever surprised when I touched that handle. It required that I use a hot pad. That would be bad enough, but the kettle has a little squeezy part on the handle that lifts the whistle part so you can pour. Ever tried managing that with a bulky hot pad in your hand. Yeah, not easy. So, I'm going to have to try again for a tea kettle. Sorry, Farberware, but I don't like your tea kettle. Shoot, maybe I'll just boil water in a saucepan and be done with it! I've wroked my way through 4 pages of tea kettles on Amazon, glass, stainless, enameled, electric. I've decided the rule is that if it doesn't cost at least $60, people who've bought it cite some major flaw. Doesn't encourage me......
Okay, my church convention is doing some kind of a tribute to the US because of Independence Day. This seems like a good time to get something else done. Later, maybe........
