For somewhere around 13 hours I have been glued to this chair, pushing to get things done. I thought that perhaps as it got later, things might speed up some, but this is like slogging through molasses. I promised myself I'd quit at 10PM and go take that long hot soaky bath I'd promised myself this morning.
Yeah. Then on uploading the last detailed preview on the last product in this series of products, the whole thing just kinda shut down. It looked for all the world as though all things were normal, but no matter what I tried, I couldn't get that last preview in. Finally, I shut down everything and rebooted. Oy! Now that was not something I wanted to do at 10PM.
Once I got it up and going again, I still had this process called "cross linking" to deal with. I am not able to see it in action at this point, but, in theory, it links each part of the product series to the other parts of the product series. So, it links the kit to the elements, to the papers, to the alpha, and so on. Once you get that done, then you have to link the elements to the papers, to the alpha, and so on. This last bit I've been working on had 8 separate products, so first I had to individually link 7 products to the first product. Then because I am "cross linking", the next product I only have to link up 6 times because I already linked something up in the first round. And it keeps going like that, 5 times, 4 times, 3 times. And each step is taking FOREVER to complete.
It's 2AM on the east coast. I can't imagine there are a lot of people online at this hour. So, I'm exhausted and more than a little frustrated and tomorrow I have to get up and do it all over again!
Oh, and I found a function that's supposed to allow me to preview the products in the store. My product previews look like crap. I sure hope there's a good explanation for that!
I'm going to bed. No long hot soaky bath. Just to bed.
