Father's Day is kind of a non event in my life. My father has passed away and so has my husband. And I won't be honoring DDs father for his 16 years of failure to pay child support. So........ it's business as usual around here.
I should celebrate in some manner. The 4th of July kit is uploading right now for the Creative Team. Wow! It sure took a while to land that plane! However, it was a mighty big plane! There are 103 MB of elements and 71 MB of alphas! Phew! I worked hard on that one! It is darn good if you'll excuse my saying so. And also darn cute! Hard on me but a bonanza for my customers!
Now the pressure is off, somewhat, and I can go back to work on the Outdoorsy kit. I really do have til the end of the month to finish that one. It needs one more paper and a BUNCH more elements. However, most of the hard elements are done so, here's hoping and praying the rest of it comes together fairly quickly. I have bazillion color schemes just waiting for me to come play with them, LOL.
I was hot and sticky yesterday afternoon and trying to get my hair up off my neck. I finally figured out that if I made my pony tail a little higher up on the back of my head, it will work better. I can catch more of the shorter hair in the rubber band. This will allow putting off that haircut a bit longer and I can still be reasonably comfortable.
So, today........
Well, first, church.
Then, I am going to drop back and try to figure out what I'm doing as far as design goes. What will go in the store the next month. Pay my design staff, things like that. Organizational stuff that has been sadly neglected. I'm a little burnt out on design right now so I can usually cure that by doing that neglected organizational stuff which I need done SO badly. Might also squeeze in some unzipping and organizing of files and deleting e-mails. And, if the spirit moves, I'll see what I can do on the outdoorsy kit.
Around here, anything I do will be an improvement. I have no clue where I was working when I was suddenly hit by the realization that I needed to have that 4th of July kit done NOW. I guess I'll start in the kitchen and go from there.
I have some cute pages with The Happy Place, so why don't we do eye candy?
Here's a gorgeous page by Jen, aka SarahWhithers. I just love her layered papers and the way that yellow cardstock is showing off its texturing. Jen has a way with elements. She seems to shrink them down significantly and use them that way and it always looks good to my eye. That is one of our word arts she's used on the page and I think it looks Gooooooood! I joked and told her that even though I am not a cat person, I'm even starting to like the cat, LOL. You can leave Jen some love here.
I need to get moving. YOU be BLESSED this Lord's day!
