It's early, before dawn again, but here I am. I probably could have slept another couple of hours but decided to get up and see what was up in the big wide wonderful world. No reason I can't crash for a few hours later if need be.
I had hoped that that long hot soaky bath would really do the trick on the soreness, but, alas, I was mistaken. I am still a bit amazed at how sore I am in unexpected places. It was my right hip that was causing so much pain, but the left hip and lower back are sore. It seems the left side was stressed out from trying to counterbalance and protect the right side. Anyway, there seems to be a "line" of sore spots just below the waist, marching from my center back all the way to my left side. My sitter has sore spots too. It's okay, really. I know this soreness will pass much faster than the muscle spasm did and it's a whole different kind of thing.
I did some work on a second snow kit and I have all the papers designed. So, I will see how far I can get on elements today. Since it's a minikit, maybe I really can finish it today. That would be great. I keep chipping away at that detail work, but there's still more to do.
It's chilly in my house this AM. I'm sitting here toasting my toes over the space heater. Feels good! It's about 54 degrees outside now, but headed to a high of 82 today. This is one of those weird days where you want a heater and then later you need the a/c.
I received a sample contract from another store. I want to read through it really carefully. There are some terms in there I'm not sure I can live up to until I study the contract. I want to get that done today so that if I'm going to pursue this, I get to it in a timely manner. I don't want them thinking I'm delaying because I'm just not enthusiastic about their store! Actually, I'm VERY enthusiastic about it!
Around here, I will try to get back to my 5 habits today. I think I am far enough along on the healing process to try both vacuuming and the treadmill today. I believe that muscle spasm is gone for good. I also believe that movement is one way to keep tension to build up in the muscles. And I'm going to be sure I keep taking extra potassium as well. My starting point for the hot water and rag "dusting" is my computer desk. I'll start over with the feather duster and work my way around to dust everything I've done this cycle to try to keep things looking like they should. My desk still is in need of work. I had hoped to pack up these pads of paper a couple of days ago, but that didn't get done because I was babying myself.
Eyecandy? Yes, we have some! Here, let's take a look at this one:
This layout is by Nancy who used one of our stacked papers for this layout. As always, I love her title work. And these papers look to be the perfect shade to highlight Sammie's pretty fur coat. I don't really believe in reincarnation, but I joked that I want to come back as Nancy's cat. She does seem to have a pretty good life!
And don't forget this:
I need coffee. I'll be back later........ Be blessed today!
